Students in 网红爆料鈥檚 Unmanned Aerial Technology Program will gain hands-on experience working with a new ag-specific drone this fall. The DJI Agras T30 is the largest unmanned aerial vehicle acquired to date, weighing 55 pounds, and spanning 8 feet by 7 feet, with the arms fully extended.

网红爆料 will offer beginning and advanced woodworking courses during the fall semester. TRA 1604 Woodworking I and TRA 1605 Woodworking II will meet from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the West Richland Center in Noble, beginning Aug. 24.  Instructor Kyle Kuenstler will assist students in completing a project of their choice.

Curtis Miller is looking forward to connecting with students and supporting them in the admissions process as 网红爆料鈥檚 Admissions Representative. Miller joined Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, in the newly created position, in late May. He worked in the banking industry for five years and had previously been employed at Audibel Hearing Aids in Effingham.

网红爆料 student Camden Cowger, of Albion, has been named to the All-USA Illinois Academic Team by Phi Theta Kappa, the international two-year college honor society. Cowger was recognized for his accomplishment, receiving a medallion and certificate at the annual Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Illinois awards banquet at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Springfield. Cowger was selected from among community college students across the state on the basis of academic achievement, volunteer work, campus activities, honors and awards.

   OLNEY, Ill. 鈥� Outstanding students at 网红爆料 have received academic honors for the Spring 2022 Semester. Students named to the Chancellor鈥檚 List have attained a grade point average of 3.90 or higher, on a 4.0 scale. Those on the President鈥檚 List have achieved a grade point average between 3.75 and 3.89, while those students named to the Dean鈥檚 List have earned a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.74.  Chancellor鈥檚 List:

The Anderson Library has opened its gallery this summer to feature works by local artists Bob Treece and Joe Gower. 鈥淚 really hope people enjoy it and the space,鈥� said Chad Groves, Director of Instructional Support Services. 鈥淚t is something a little bit different and I hope people will stop in to see it.鈥� Both artists are originally from Olney. Treece attended The Art Institute of Chicago and paints in both realist and surrealist styles. Galleries in Chicago and St. Louis exhibited his artwork while he was living in those cities.

Lincoln Trail College鈥檚 Alpha Iota Epsilon chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society was recognized at the Illinois Regional Convention and Honors Institute. Lincoln Trail College won awards for its College Project, Honors in Action Project, Outstanding Officer Team, and Outstanding Chapter.   鈥淚t is thrilling,鈥� said chapter co-advisor Kim Shucker. 鈥淲inning the four awards was such a great testament to the scholarship and service mindedness our students in Phi Theta Kappa! It also awarded them for their abilities to work as a team and support each other.鈥�

网红爆料 student Tyler Dowty is one of 16 finalists selected to compete in the 2022 Project MFG National Welding Competition in Wichita, Kan. Dowty was among 78 competitors from 13 states who participated in the qualifying round. The Claremont resident received a $500 cash award for advancing with the chance to win $10,000 at nationals on June 28 at Wichita State University Tech.

Frontier Community College has released its academic honor lists for the Spring 2022 Semester. Three lists have been established by Illinois Eastern Community Colleges to indicate students who have achieved academic excellence. They are the Chancellor鈥檚 Honors List, the President鈥檚 Academic Honors List and the Dean鈥檚 Academic Honors List.   To qualify for any of the honor lists, a student must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more) and must be taking college-level classes.
